therawis diagnostics is seeking motivated hands-on Research Technicians to support innovative R&D projects in proteomics, immunology, and in-vitro diagnostic development. 

About the Role 

As a Research Technician, you will work closely with our scientists to develop and perform molecular and immunological assays, prepare samples for mass spectrometry, and support proteomic analyses of exosomes and immune cells. Your work will directly contribute to identifying proteomic signatures that can advance precision diagnostics in immune-mediated diseases. 

You will collaborate with leading academic and industry partners—including the groups of Prof. Percy Knolle (Institute of Molecular Immunology, TUM), Prof. Andreas Pichlmair (Institute of Virology, TUM), and Bruker Daltonics - while being based in the therawis research laboratories. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Perform and support immunoassays, molecular biology workflows, and flow cytometry analyses 
  • Assist in developing biochemical, cellular, and immunological assays for exosome research 
  • Prepare and process clinical and research samples for mass spectrometry 
  • Document experimental procedures and results according to internal quality standards 
  • Manage multiple laboratory tasks with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail 
  • Actively contribute to project meetings and collaborate closely with scientists and external partners 
  • Maintain a structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style 

Your Profile 

You are a motivated laboratory professional and have completed: 

  • a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or 
  • technical training as CTA, MTA, BTA, or Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Assistant 

You bring: 

  • Practical experience in molecular biology, immunoassays, or protein chemistry 
  • Knowledge of high-parameter (spectral) flow cytometry and/or cell sorting (a strong plus) 
  • A careful, structured working style and the ability to manage several tasks in parallel 
  • Excellent team spirit, communication skills, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies 
  • Good command of MS Office tools 
  • Good written and spoken English skills
