therawis diagnostics is expanding its R&D team and is looking for passionate Scientists to contribute to innovative biomarker discovery and in-vitro diagnostic development. About the Role 

As a Scientist at therawis, you will work at the forefront of proteomic and transcriptomic research. You will apply state-of-the-art mass spectrometry, immunoassays, and molecular biology tools to analyze exosomes and immune cells and identify protein signatures predictive of immune-mediated diseases. 

You will collaborate closely with leading academic and industry partners, including the groups of Prof. Percy Knolle (Institute of Molecular Immunology, TUM), Prof. Andreas Pichlmair (Institute of Virology, TUM), and Bruker Daltonics, while being based in the therawis research laboratories. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Plan, conduct, and document R&D activities in immunoassays, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and protein chemistry 
  • Process patient-derived clinical samples and perform initial data evaluation 
  • Develop and optimize immunoassays for exosome-based biomarker identification 
  • Present research findings in internal meetings, conferences, and peer-reviewed publications 
  • Collaborate with project partners and align scientific and technical progress 

Your Profile 

We are seeking highly motivated scientists with a Master’s degree or PhD, preferably in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field. 

You bring: 

  • Experience with CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, immune cell handling, or immunology workflows 
  • Expertise in high-parametric (spectral) flow cytometry and cell sorting and/or Experience in immunoassays, protein chemistry, molecular biology, or single-cell workflows (e.g., RNA-seq, TCR-seq) 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary research team 

Experience in proteomics, mass spectrometry sample prep, or exosome biology is a plus.
